❌ Some users may find that AI Writer’s generated content isn’t quite up to par with what a human writer could produce.

❌ It’s not free; plans range from $29 for up to 40 articles generated to $375 per month for up to 1000 articles.

❌ As with other AI tools, there’s always the risk of missing out on valuable details or producing errors, and you need to have an editorial process in place.

Getting to Know AI Writer’s Features

Research & Write

In the Research & Write section, users can generate blogs of up to 1,200 words on various topics. Users can save or view articles in the AI Written Article Draft section. Unfortunately, the platform can only create articles in English, and it can take a couple of minutes to generate an article.

I ran a couple of topics to see how well it worked. I used generic but varying topics like “10 SEO Tips For 2023” and “Top 10 Restaurants in Tampa”. The articles were pretty generic and sometimes repetitive. However, it did pinpoint valuable hashtags and cite sources. The application also provides a uniqueness score, which runs the article to check for plagiarism.

While it doesn’t explicitly say it uses Copyscape, it does use the service as an example of how AI Writer evaluates the uniqueness of an article. As a writer, the sources and some of the information can be helpful to create a draft or guide research, but it’s not as robust a platform as others like Frase.

One feature that I found interesting was their SEO-focused Editor, which takes the article and evaluates how well the keywords are distributed. AI Writer accomplishes this by using a point system “100 Points means you have a better keyword distribution than all the other Top-100 Google results. Empirically, it translates to a chance of 73.47% to out-rank any given competing website just with your content!”.

This is a valuable feature to ensure you’re using the right keywords and distributing them evenly throughout your content. Users can also highlight text to see which parts of the content weren’t rewritten.

Text Rewording

Text rewording allows users to reword up to 1750-word content pieces. It also lets you input a headline to help guide the AI editing process. After entering the text and headline, users again get to watch the countdown clock for the platform to generate text. It reminds me of when I had to wait for LimeWire to slowly download my favorite tracks. Maybe I’ll have some time to make another cup of coffee before I review what the platform writes.

Like the Research & Write section, we get an estimated uniqueness check. I used an old bio to see if they would jazz it up a bit more, but it didn’t quite do that.

One aspect of this section I did like was the “Show Source Texts” option. If you click the button, you can see the breakdown of the original text. Users can also use the SEO-focused Editor to assess their keyword breakdown in the Text Rewording section.

I was less impressed by their keyword selection for this content piece, but that could be because of the vagueness of the headline I used. Also, I’m not sure how I could work in keywords like “myalgic encephalomyelitis” or “Kelly Clarkson” into my About Me, nor do I think it would be particularly helpful.

SEO Editor

In SEO Editor, users have 125 characters to input a keyword they want to rank for to create a new ‘SEO Document.’ From there, users can use the platform to create a draft using keywords that the platform pulled or merge the keywords with an existing document.

Subtopic Discoverer

The Subtopic Discoverer allows users to select a topic. Then the platform generates subtopics for the AI writer to create articles for. I picked three subtopics, and then it sent me to the Research & Write section to generate each article in about three minutes.

I used the topic “Financial Goal Setting” and compared three subtopics: emergency fund, credit score, and monthly budget.

I ran the Monthly Budget article a couple of times. The first time every first sentence in a paragraph began with the same set of words and repeated sentiments or thoughts throughout. The other two topics posed the same issues. Between the initial draft and the one you see in the picture above, they both seem generic. While these articles might rank well for uniqueness, the content’s quality needs some improvement.
